Our business entity focuses over quality production of healthy food product line that is processed using Manipur grown vegetables and fruits, which assist in adding traditional taste to recipes. As a quality-conscious manufacturer, we believe in maintaining high quality in our offered line through application of stringent food quality and safety product testing. Our vast product line that encompasses Stuffed Chilli Pickle, Dry Soya Chunk, Mango Candy, Pineapple Juice, etc., is served with an assurance of high quality.

Our business popularity is increasing day by day due to exceptional work by the talented women of India. We are a perfect example of excellence as everything in our company from business idea to staff and production practice is different from the rest in the market. Our range is served under brand names like 'Meira Salty', Meira Candy' and 'Meira Pickles'. Production related operations take place in below mentioned three units:

  • Production Unit I is settled at Brahampur Aribam Leikai, Imphal East.
  • Unit II of production is situated in Keisamthong Elangbam Leikai (Imphal West)
  • Unit III of our production space is located in Kakching Lamkhai (Laipham Lotnung)
  • Our diverse subsidiary units are settled in Keibi, Ukhrul (Hungdung), Singjamei, Moirang Kampu, and Yaishkul.

Our Business Story

In the month of January, 2004, Meira Foods came in to being under the sponsorship provided by Small Industries Services Institute (SISI), which is presently called as MSME- Development Institute. Before business commencement, a complete training session with ACT-M on quality vegetable and fruit processing and preservation was provided to thirty talented women of Thoubal, Bishnupur & Imphal.

Mrs. H. Shubhra Devi is a leading lady behind the business idea, which is linked with empowerment of women. Her educational background in M.Sc. (Food & Nutrition) became inspiration behind commencement of Meira Foods.

Years back when Mrs. H. Shubhra Devi started business influenced by the training, she was having support of only three ex-trainees. There was no well-equipped space for doing food production work so business mentor being a lady of strong commitment explored her own kitchen and started food processing work after finishing her household duties.

Slowly and steadily the quality & taste of the food products started to make a place in the hearts of consumers and number of orders increased. The huge production demand could not be fulfilled at a small kitchen space, so a solution in the form of mentor's father-in-law made Mandap, basically, a kutcha with no wall came into use. Time passed and kutcha got transformed into a well-cemented space with strong roof and walls. In the year 2010, company got another unit in Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai, with active 7 managerial staff, 50 workers and 2 drivers.
